BPG has a new Deck!

BPG’s GroCentre is better than ever. We have a new deck by the Kitchen for easy, safe and pleasant use. It looks fantastic!

BPG’s kitchen and catering area is more accessible and considerably safer with the construction of a new deck. Funding was from a $10,000 grant through the Small-scale Election Commitment Program by the Dept of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions . It was (very well) built by Wandoo Design and Construction.

We have operated out the donga for 7 years with an awkward, make-do step arrangement that discouraged use and excluded at least one of our regular members.

The deck has been transformational to the way a working day works at our nursery - from being a sort of inner sanctum for the lithe, into a place where any of our people can go in and out, carrying equipment and refreshments with ease. It has improved the function and camaraderie of our team.  Now anyone can fetch seed jars, plant tags and paperwork stored therein - or make the morning tea, and do the washing up!
