dieback pic Wireless Hill DiebackTreatment Day 22nd of November 09

During Conservation week in March 2009 the Friends of Wireless Hill Park hosted a highly successful dieback treatment day, where over 80 volunteers carried out phosphite stem injection in the beautiful Banksia and Eucalypt woodland to prevent the spread of Phytophthora Dieback . This 40ha bushland bursts with wildflowers during spring and is an important refuge for many species of birds

and reptiles. The Friends of Wireless Hill Park are seeking the communities support again for a stem injection day on November 22nd, to continue the valuable work started in Conservation week.

Attendees are required to wear closed footwear, gloves and sun protection.
Equipment and training will be provided. Newcomers are most welcome.

A free sausage sizzle morning tea will be provided.
