Recent 2009 plantings: 3132 in ground!

295 trees (of which 84 are dieback resistant jarrahs) planted Sunday morning June 28 at the Broadway Arboretum

131 trees planted at Jubilee Reserve with the Eden Hill Primary School, Wednesday July 1 with lots of help from teachers and parents.

The official count is 572 plants in under two hours at Ashfield Flats on Sunday, July 12 followed by a delicious sausage sizzle

There was another successful planting at Bindaring Park on Sunday Aug 9 ... and a BBQ sizzle. With extra reeds and other plants from the Town of Bassendean, the plant count was almost 1000 in good clumps of future colour.

Sunday Aug 16 .. 126 Jarrahs at ashfield Parade. Sunday August 23 saw another 530 plants in the ground at Ashfield Flats, by 12 souls in just 2 hours ... with a sausage sizzle.

The final plant for the year on Sunday Sept 6 saw another 392 reeds and related plants put into the water's edge, upstream and downstream of Pickering Park. Many thanks to all that attended on Fathers' Day! (There were also the remains of a cash crop in the bin but no one from BPG put their hand up for the hydrophonic gardening of these! We left the ranger waiting for the police to turn up and we just cruised away after another successful morning!
